Final Post!

 I am finally FINISHED with project four! I swear that the computers in class are out to get me. Even though I lost a good hour or two of work, I still managed to get it finished in time! This project was really fun! And everyone did so well! :) I can't wait to see everyone's finished pieces in class!

Running On No Sleep

So tonight will probably be the second night in a row that I haven't slept. And I'm starting to feel it. haha. I totally forgot to upload some screenshots of my poster! But, I'm going to continue in the same direction and hopefully I can make some drastic and better changes for final portfolio. I can't believe that these are already almost due! Time is truly flying by!


Oh. I am also very grateful for classmates who share extra paper    ^______^

Paper?

Has anyone been able to find paper yet? I went to office depot....and nada?? I'm gonna try to look into other places. But no luck so far. ANYWHO. Thanksgiving break! I should have utilized this time better. :( Since I live in town. And didn't go anywhere. Although, I did have a wonderfully vegan thanksgiving! Hope everyone enjoyed the break! :)

Need to catch up!

I am still a little behind. But, I plan on catching up tomorrow! I think I've decided just to stick with the straight white red theme. And for the program, I am going to have the ring falling from the top back, then it will bounce, then it will land still on the bottom of the front page. Hopefully I will upload some screenshots preetttty soooon.

Still not satisfied?!

 Well. I pretty much threw out the aged paper idea. I still really feel I could have created something interesting from it. But, I just wasn't feeling it? So. Instead, I put a red watercolor wash as a background, with the image in white with red outline. I sort of want to keep the entire thing straight red and white, but now I'm thinking about the possibility of some black outlines? seems a little too red and white at the moment. Any suggestions would be MUCH needed and appreciated! haha! And I FINALLY posted pictures! They are pretty much just the final image, not much of text or anything yet. I would upload my sketches of ideas, but.....I can't even tell what they are (super messy). So that would be pointless. ^_^'



OH! and I'm still a little lost with my program. I wanted to do something along the lines of the ring falling to the floor (like it's been carelessly tossed away). The only idea I've come up with so far is to kind of make it travel from front page to back. I haven't sketched it yet, but when I do I'll post a picture. It might seem weird/confusing without a visual.

I accidentally smeared it a bit on the farthest left leg. But, now I'm thinking I may  possibly fill in the matching leg and arms?  Not sure though.

Virtruvian Adam.

I finally came up with an idea! My final concept is the virtruvian man with a hip hair-do, glasses, and a thoughtfully placed fig leaf. I seem to be obsessed with that ring, so the circle around the virtruvian adam will be the ring he proposed with. It seemed like a good idea at first. But now I am having doubts. I really want a dominant red. But, I also want that aged look the original virtruvian man has. But I just can't seem to find a decent combination of the two! it seems to keep looking....odd? I also want a sketchy feel. But, it seems it'd be easier to just throw out the aged look and make everything uber simplistic with super clean lines and make the whole thing straight white on red...or red on white. But something is telling me I will be able to create something really interesting with the red and aged combination. So. I will keep experimenting!

The Shape of Things - attempting to sketch

I have been trying to come up with some ideas that are.....less upfront? But, I seemed to be having a little bit of a hard time. I did manage to squeeze some out though! Then last night I had a dream about The Shape Of Things. Only my version was more like those old black and white silent movies with The Goat Rodeo Sessions as the soundtrack. It was odd. But,  now I'm kind of falling into a a new direction and will probably scrap most of my ideas I have come up with. It's frustrating but I always seem to pull things together at the last minute ( I think I work better under pressure).
